Self-Aligned Cell: high efficiency made simple |
 | The Self-Aligned Cell 1366’s pioneering Self-Aligned Cell (SAC) breaks the efficiency and cost tradeoff of photovoltaics by enabling mono-crystalline equivalent cell efficiencies at multi-crystalline cell costs. The SAC delivers a simpler, more commercially-viable solution for enhanced texturing and metallization to enable cell manufacturers to reach 18 percent multicrystalline cell efficiencies.
| | Structured Texture 1366’s texturing process creates a geometrically optimized cell surface for better light capture and trapping. The process can be independently implemented, is compatible with existing multicrystalline cell lines, and delivers up to a 1% efficiency gain.
| | Fine Line Metallization, 1-Step Selective Emitter 1366’s front metallization technology delivers 75% of the gain of back contact cells without the cost and complexity. The Company’s fine line metallization (30 microns versus the standard 100-120um) and light capturing busbar reduce front shading from 9% to 2% with low-cost, scalable processes.
